Be careful what you ask for.....

Back at my craft desk today....and I sent an email off to my sister-in-law Vikki and her stamping buddy Robyn, two very talented stamping ladies, to give me a card challenge for the day.  Well, next time I think I will be careful what I ask for because boy did I struggle with this!  This card is made with the two challenges they sent my way in mind...Feeling Sketchy Challenge #65 for the layout and The Play Date Cafe #192...Black and White with a splash of Neon Yellow for the colour.  Once again a male card for my stash...next time I really do need  to make a female card.  Thanks ladies for the challenges and thanks for taking a peek.

Deepest Sympathy...

Faced with the task of having to make a sympathy card for a dear friend who sadly lost her husband to cancer last week, I was happy to be inspired by the ladies over at dynamic duos to make this card.  The DD#62 called for Calypso Coral & Basic Black with the Dessert Option of a Butterfly Theme.  Black is one of my favourite colours to work with, though I did find the calypso coral a challenge, and I simply adore any cards with butterflies!  Although it is quite a basic card, the only technique required was a little masking, I feel it says all that needs to be said....thanks for taking a peek.

Great day....

I am definitely making the most of my Saturday!  This time around I have played along with the sketch for this week over at Freshly Made Sketches..FMS95.  It took me all afternoon to get this card looking the way I wanted it to...but I really like the colours and am happy with the finished product!

Luck Always...

Enjoying my Saturday back at my stamping desk I once again decided to have a go at the sketch over at CAS(E) this sketch! for this week CTS#37.  I really like this sketch and am sure I will use it again many times...I think it is so versatile.  This is another male card for my collection and I have to say I have gone back into my comfort zone with these colours!  Thanks for taking a peek, Vikki
