When I first saw the sketch #CTS157 this week at CAS(E) this sketch! I thought there was no chance of me playing along, but then I decided it would give me the chance to play a little with ink...one of the things I would like to do a little more of when card making this year. Using the sketch I have made a male card for my nephew celebrating a birthday this week. Thanks for taking a peek.

Greetings...
Making the most of my last few days of holidays I have today managed to sneak in some more stamping time. Once again I am playing along with the team at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge blog and their latest challenge Merry Monday #187 - Colleen's Challenge: Make a Christmas Card with plaids on it! and I am also playing along with the team at Tuesday Morning Sketches using their latest sketch #334. Having found this sketch to make my plaid card I was still deciding on what image to use on the card front...that is of course until I received my mail yesterday. My lovely stamping friend Robyn in Townsville had sent me a birthday card and inside had placed a few lovely die cut pieces, one of which I added some pretty gems to and have used it as my Christmas Tree on this card. Awesome Robyn...thank you so much! I have then just die cut a small tag, stamped the word 'greetings' onto it, sponged some green ink around the edges and added a twine bow...and yeah Christmas card number 2 for 2016! Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek.

Friends...
Well I am impressed...I have actually made two cards today! For my second card I am playing along with the team at Stamp, Ink, Paper and their Challenge#29 which is a Sketch Challenge from Carolyn. This card turned out nothing like what I had in mind when I sat down to craft today, but I found this blue DP in my stash and once I decided to use it the rest of the card just followed. Thanks for taking a peek. Enjoy the rest of your weekend...we are having a nice sunny, warm one here..loving it!
Happy Birthday...
A nice clean and simple birthday card for today. After many attempts and lots of binning...I have made this birthday card to play along with the team at CAS(E) this sketch! and their latest sketch by Ali, CTS#154. I think I should use this flower stamp more often...it does stamp so pretty! Thanks for taking a peek.

White on White Merry Christmas...
Having failed miserably in my Christmas card making for 2015 I am determined this year to make more of an effort to participate regularly with the team at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge. To kick start my efforts and as I am on holidays at present, I had time today to play along with their first challenge for 2016 Merry Monday #186 {White on White}. Although I was very inspired by the team at Merry Monday and their lovely cards, I do struggle with white on white so, hopefully staying within the rules, I have used a neutral brown to stamp my door image which I then mounted on a snowflake embossed card before mounting this on to the front of my card and adding some white pearls...and I must say I am pleased with how this card turned out so I guess that makes my 2016 Christmas card count 1...yeah! Thanks for dropping by and taking a peek.

Happy Birthday
I am hoping to make 2 cards each week this year....well that is the plan....and so far I am on track! For my second card today I have made a start on the birthday cards that I will need for the year ahead playing along with the team at Freshly Made Sketches and their current sketch FMS217. This is one of my favourite stamps so I always like any card I make using it. Thanks for taking a peek.
Anything ....
Happy New Year! After spending a nice week between Christmas and New Year getting myself into a much needed routine around the home I have lots of free time to play today in my new craft area which I have created inside a closet in my entryway....no more having to pull everything out to stamp and pack it away afterwards...just open/close the door. However, I digress! I have made this card today for a young work colleague. I had already made this tag earlier in the year and so decided to put it to use on the card front, masking a large tag behind it and sponging the card front in two shades of ink and adding ribbon and gems to match the tag. I am going to enter this card at Tuesday Morning Sketches and their Annual Anything Goes Challenge #332. and also at Stamp ink Paper and their Challenge#28 - Anything But Christmas. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.

More Christmas Joy...
Hi fellow crafters, I am back today posting another Christmas card. I had earmarked this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches - FMS213 earlier in the week, but my real inspiration came when taking a peek at my sister in law Vikki W's blog and saw the Stampin' Royalty Picture Inspiration Challenge SR#304 for this week. Once again I have used my favourite Christmas stamp...I knew I would as soon as I saw the inspiration picture! Thanks for taking a peek.

Christmas Joy...
Back today with another Christmas card for my (very slowly) growing stash. For this card I have played along with the team at CAS(E) this sketch! and their current sketch CTS150. Originally I was planning on using a floral stamp on this card but when foraging through my Christmas stamps today I thought this stamp would do just nicely. I think this is my favourite Christmas stamp that I own so I do like this card...I hope you do too...thanks for taking a peek.

Freshly Made Sketches 212
I'm back today to post a card that I managed to finish making last night. This is another birthday card and this time I have played along at Freshly Made Sketches using their latest Sketch 212. I took this photo late last night and the lighting isn't very good and unfortunately I have already popped the card in the post as it has many miles to travel before reaching it's destination on Friday. I really liked this layout and think I may use it as a go to again in the near future. Thanks for taking a peek.
