Hi fellow crafters. I am back tonight to post a card I made this afternoon. For the layout I have played along with the latest sketch CTS#126 over at CAS(E) this sketch! and for my colour scheme I went with the colours from Color Throwdown ctd345. I was originally hoping to use flowers on this card but I didn't really have a floral stamp that would suit this layout so I used this bird stamp instead, randomly stamping the branches to get the effect on the base layer of my card. Because I had used birds I thought the sentiment was quite fitting...a little foot note here...as I was putting the finishing touches to this card....the strong winds we are having here today blew the door to my craft room (which is really, really old) open and it actually broke into 3 pieces...and as I was stamping this sentiment at the time I really did have to laugh out loud! Thanks for taking a peek.

A Flip Card...
Hello from Tassie on this very chilly Saturday afternoon! I have braved the cold out in my craft room this afternoon as I really wanted to challenge my self to make a flip card. Yesterday, my stamping mate Robyn sent me the link to this "Flip-Card Tutorial using partial die-cutting" by Hussena over at Crafters Corner and I must say I was very impressed. So today out came my Cuttlebug and some new dies that I received in the mail this week (happy dance time) and I had a play...thanks for taking a peek....I hope you like my finished card...

Alphabet Tags for May...
Having missed the deadline for the alphabet tag challenge back in April I have been very conscious of time running out to complete my tags for May...and finally here they are....the letter "I" which I really had to think about. Taking inspiration from the words ink, indigo and ivy...this is what I came up with. Using a favourite stamp from my stash which contains the words Imagine and Inspire, I used Imperial Blue ink...as I didn't have indigo....and then I came across this pen stamp in my stash which I thought I would use for the idea of ink. Finally I embossed the tag with a vine embossing folder...this is my ivy...as you can see I really had to use my imagination!
and now for my J tag....Journey....which I really enjoyed making as I had a few stamps with the word journey on them as well as globes and I also used a train stamp from my stash which I haven't used in quite some time. I love playing with different inks when I am making tags and this tag was no exception....thanks for taking a peek.
It's A Girl!
Hi fellow bloggers. After many false starts I actually did complete a card on the weekend! For this card I have played along with the current sketch 188 at Freshly Made Sketches and made a baby card for a former work colleague of my husband who has recently had a baby girl....Welcome to the world Scarlet! It has been so long since I have made a baby card but I really did enjoy the process and am quite pleased with the end result and so is hubby...thank goodness. Thanks for taking a peek...I'm off now to work on some tags which I need to complete today.

Good times....
Finally...I have returned to my craft desk and actually completed a card today. I must mention that I really had to make sure I completed this card today as it is for my youngest brother who is turning 50 this week and I really do need to get it in the post...nothing like a little pressure is there! To make this card I have used the latest sketch #300 from the Tuesday Morning Sketches team. I knew I was always going to use clocks (the plane is a little extra) and as I am not a button and bows girl I took the opportunity to add a chain to my button and attempt to make it look like it is connected to the watch on this card. Thanks for taking a peek...and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

A, B, C......."F"
I'm back today to post my F tag for March.....yes a few days late I know....I really struggled with a theme for F. I know I could have just gone with flowers but I generally struggle with using flowers at any time...no idea why. So, rummaging through my stamp stash I found my two 'face' stamps and have decided to use the smaller one on my tag which I masked and then stamped this oriental fan stamp which I haven't used in a very long time. I also stamped the fans again onto clear acetate and cut out one of the fans and attached with a split pin to cover half of the stamped face image. A little different I guess but I do think I like the finished tag. Thanks for taking a peek. I hope you are having a glorious Good Friday, we certainly are here...lovely weather indeed.

E for Engagement
Hi fellow crafters. It has been many days since I have been at my craft desk, but today I had to put an insert in to a birthday card I needed for tomorrow and so while I was there.....I started thinking of what theme I could use on my E tag for our alphabet tag/card challenge. I was initially leaning towards Easter as I have a few Easter stamps and embellishments...but no...spying this Happy Engagement stamp in my stash I decided to play with it and thus...my tag was born! Thanks for taking a peek. I am off now to prepare for my working week....the first in over 12 months....eek! I hope you have a good week whatever you may be doing.

Thank you....
Well, it is a cold wet day here today so what better way to spend it than tucked away in my craft room. After playing with two cards I have only managed to make the one...will have to go back to the other one tomorrow. For this card I have played along with the team at CAS(E) this sketch! and the sketch for this week CTS#112. I really like this DP I had in my stash so after choosing to use it my card evolved from there! Thanks for taking a peek.

More Tags.....
Yeah! Another creative Saturday afternoon....today I had intended to make some cards and play along at a couple of blog challenges....I got a little side tracked! It is has been in the back of mind that I needed to get started on my C and D tags for our challenge organised by our crafty friend Robyn. Well, I am happy to say these tags are no longer on my mind but sitting on my desk beside me! My C theme is Clocks...I did struggle a little with this tag but I am happy with the way it turned out....
I thought I would keep the momentum going and play with my D theme tag, and this one came together nice and easy...D for dance and dress...
Thanks so much for taking a peek. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.Sunday, 15 February 2015
Wishing you...
Well I have managed to sneak in a little more time at my craft desk again today so have made another male card to add to my stash. This time I have played along again with the Tuesday Morning Sketches team and their latest sketch #287. I had to improvise with the shape as the circle dies I have just weren't big enough and I actually never intended to colour the image on this card but it just wasn't doing it for me so I sponged it with some bisque ink and some distressed ink as well and now I'm okay with it. Thanks for taking a peek and I hope the week ahead treats you kindly.
