RobVikVik - May

Well another month is almost over and that means another challenge completed with my stamping mates Robyn and Vikki W.  This time around I got to choose the layout, Vikki W suggested we use a stamp from our stash that we rarely use and Robyn chose the colour scheme.  It took me a while to get around to tackling our May challenge and then my card went in a totally different direction to what I had planned.  The rose stamp I used is one of the earliest stamps I purchased, as too is the button and heart stamp which I must confess I have never used before this!  The sentiment stamp I have had for a little while now but I have never used it before either.  I chose the sentiment as I thought it matched perfectly with the little heart and I must say in hindsight I am glad it is what I went with as today I learnt that a former colleague of mine who is terminally ill with cancer is not doing so good at the moment; therefore this card is going in the mail to her tomorrow...she is a lovely lady whose friendship has certainly touched my heart!

Our Beautiful World Week 48 - Spots

This week over at Our Beautiful World the photo word is Spots.  I didn't realise just how many spots are in my world, from the spotted clothing I own to all of the different spotted papers and accessories I found in my craft stash.  Actually a card I just made this week has quite a few spots on it...........

but my favourite spots this week were on this mushroom growing in the front paddock of our property.

Our Beautiful World Week 46 - Clouds

This week over at Our Beautiful World, Robyn has chosen the word clouds.  I love looking at clouds and realised today I could take photo after photo of them....so I decided to post these photos before I get too carried away.  On Sunday I went to the beach with my husband and one of our greyhounds and I just love this photo of the clouds that day.....

.... and these are two of the snaps I took whilst standing in my backyard at different times this afternoon.....

Great word choice Robyn!  I can't wait to see what the word is for next week.  Thanks for taking a peek everyone.

You're Special

Hi fellow crafters.  It is a rainy, cold Saturday in Tasmania and I wasn't feeling very crafty until I skyped my sister in law Vikki and her crafting friends Robyn and Estelle who are lucky enough to be having a crafting day together in sunny Townsville....I am so green with envy!...which actually brings me to my latest card.  Vikki suggested I play along with the sketch for this week at cardabilities #98 and Robyn suggested the colour scheme over at City Crafter for this week citrus flavour using orange, lemon and lime.  Well after an afternoon of deliberation and experimentation I have finally completed my card...I quite like it and it sure has taken me out of my comfort zone....thanks girls for the suggestions.

Apples

This week over at Our Beautiful World the photo theme is apples.  I was given a bag of apples this week by a friend and when putting them into a bowl it dawned on me that I could take some photos of them!  Well, whilst taking the photos I got to thinking I could actually make something with them and so.....I ended up making an apple slice not quite my hubby's favourite apple pie but it tastes yummy anyway.

Case this Sketch

Well I am actually at my desk again today stamping with Robyn on Skype this time around.  I happened to take a peek over at CAS(E) this Sketch! a little earlier and was very impressed by the sketch for this week CTS#74 by guest designer Beverley.  Immediately I thought of a stamp I had in my stash that I could use for this layout and hence have made a male card....clean and simple...loving it.
