Hi fellow crafters, I am back today posting another Christmas card. I had earmarked this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches - FMS213 earlier in the week, but my real inspiration came when taking a peek at my sister in law Vikki W's blog and saw the Stampin' Royalty Picture Inspiration Challenge SR#304 for this week. Once again I have used my favourite Christmas stamp...I knew I would as soon as I saw the inspiration picture! Thanks for taking a peek.

Christmas Joy...
Back today with another Christmas card for my (very slowly) growing stash. For this card I have played along with the team at CAS(E) this sketch! and their current sketch CTS150. Originally I was planning on using a floral stamp on this card but when foraging through my Christmas stamps today I thought this stamp would do just nicely. I think this is my favourite Christmas stamp that I own so I do like this card...I hope you do too...thanks for taking a peek.

Freshly Made Sketches 212
I'm back today to post a card that I managed to finish making last night. This is another birthday card and this time I have played along at Freshly Made Sketches using their latest Sketch 212. I took this photo late last night and the lighting isn't very good and unfortunately I have already popped the card in the post as it has many miles to travel before reaching it's destination on Friday. I really liked this layout and think I may use it as a go to again in the near future. Thanks for taking a peek.

Happy Birthday
I made this quick colourful card yeterday. Needing to make a birthday card for a little girl who was turning 3 I was blog hopping to find a challenge that might give me some inspiration and when I came to the City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 287 - Dye It! challenge I knew I needed to look no more. I was always going to use balloons on this card so when the guidelines for this challenge said there could be no stamping or DP I decided to use these balloon split pins I had in my stash which determined the inks that I would use ..my Kaleidacolor Raised Rainbow Dye Inkpad, Melon Melody which I brayered across card that I had embossed with a Happy Birthday embossing folder. After assembling it all together I am quite pleased with the result. Thanks for taking a peek.

Merry Christmas
Happy to be back posting today, one because it is a public holiday here and two, because I have made another Christmas card for my (very small) stash. This is a very different Christmas card for me...it is pink....and that is because I have played along at TIME OUT challenges and their Challenge # 43 Christmas with the optional twist of "use pink and/or purple". I have also played along with Mojo Monday - The Blog using their latest sketch 421. Thanks for taking a peek, I may just go and make another Christmas card now using the colour purple!

A,B,C...............S,T
It has been almost a month since I have done any stamping so I am pleased to be back today posting my entries for October in our A, B, C card/tag challenge. This week I enrolled in an online class "The Endless Possibilities of Spellbinders" by Jeri Parks and completed lesson one, so both of my cards today incorporate the use of my Spellbinder dies. My first card ....the letter T....for thinking...of you. A very basic card I know but sometimes I do think less is more!
My next card for the letter S...Sewing...and in particular a Singer sewing machine.....
Thanks for taking a peek and I hope the week ahead brings good things your way.

There is much to celebrate...
As today is my sister in law Vikki's birthday and I know she has already received my card in the post I can now show it here on my blog. Today Vikki is celebrating a very important birthday...no I won't give away her age...so I thought it called for a very special card. Happy Birthday Vikki W!

Sing like nobody's listening...
Back at my desk today and I have completed a card using musical quavers for the letter Q of our ABC challenge organised by Robyn. I am posting this card to CAS(E) this sketch! as I used their sketch #141 and also to Color Throwdown and their latest color challenge ctd360, the colors of black, pink and dark blue. Thanks for taking a peek, I am off now to start playing on a card for the letter R...much easier than the letter Q I am sure.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas...
Oh happy days...being between relief jobs this week (and having had a wisdom tooth extracted yesterday!)...I have actually found time to have a little play with my stamping gear. I really need to get some Christmas cards made so have played along today with Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge and their latest challenge #171 {Sentiment in the Spotlight}. Looking for inspiration for a layout I have also played along with Mojo Monday - Card Sketch Blog and their sketch for this week Mojo Monday 415. It is such a long time since I have played at either of these blogs but I am so glad I made the time today...thanks for taking a peek.

Best Wishes
I can't believe it...I have actually got to stamp on a Saturday AND finish a card...woo hoo! I actually had to dig the stamps out last night and quickly make my son's birthday card (not posted here) ....he is 21 today...congratulations Brennan x......and as my craft supplies were still spread out on the table I took the opportunity to quickly make a card before going out to dinner. I have played along today at CAS(E) this sketch! This week's sketch CTS140 is by Chrissy Larson...very CAS ...and inspired by the other talented crafters I have made a male card in the attempt to have some cards on hand for the future, instead of stamping at the last minute like I tend to do. Thanks for taking a peek.

Best Wishes
I am so happy to be here posting on my blog! It has been so long since I
have done any crafting and I really need to get some cards made...this
card is actually going to be a belated birthday card...hopefully the
recipient believes in the saying...better late than never. Anyhow...for
this card I am able to play along with Try Stampin' On Tuesday using their sketch #231 and also Color Throwdown
ctd356 using the colours of Orange, Green and Black. I struggled a
little with this colour combo and am still not sure about the green, or
orange lol, but there's nothing like stepping out of your comfort zone
when looking for inspiration. Thanks for taking a peek.

June Tags
Due to having lost my mojo of late I am really late posting my tags for June....sorry Robyn and fellow members of our Alphabet Tag/Card Challenge. The letters for June were K and L. When I first sat down to make my K tag I played about with the idea of Kings and Keys but that just wasn't happening and although I had seen this Kangaroo stamp in my stash I thought there was no way I would use it...as they say...never say never....
For my L tag I came across this stamp of 'letters' in my stash which I stamped in Antique Linen and although the completed tag does not show it really well I masked the letters image and stamped a lace background in laurel leaf before adding the stamped words of Love, Luck, Laughter Always...one of my favourite stamps. As a finishing touch I have added a lock and lace to complete my tag. Thanks for taking a peek.

Happy Birthday...
After a number of attempts I am finally back today to post a finished card! I set out with good intentions yesterday to complete some tags and a couple of birthday cards...sadly the mojo just wasn't happening and all attempts ended up in the trash. Not one to give up I had another attempt today and although I only got to complete one card, I am quite happy with the result. I actually started this card off to play with Power Poppy and their June Power and Spark: Pencil me in challenge where they wanted the use of coloured pencils...this I enjoyed and love the finished bouquet of flowers on my card but then I struggled with a layout....so after lots of blog hopping I came across this current layout #268 at JUST add INK and took some inspiration from Kim and the other ladies. Thanks for taking a peek.

Don't let life ruffle your feathers....
Hi fellow crafters. I am back tonight to post a card I made this afternoon. For the layout I have played along with the latest sketch CTS#126 over at CAS(E) this sketch! and for my colour scheme I went with the colours from Color Throwdown ctd345. I was originally hoping to use flowers on this card but I didn't really have a floral stamp that would suit this layout so I used this bird stamp instead, randomly stamping the branches to get the effect on the base layer of my card. Because I had used birds I thought the sentiment was quite fitting...a little foot note here...as I was putting the finishing touches to this card....the strong winds we are having here today blew the door to my craft room (which is really, really old) open and it actually broke into 3 pieces...and as I was stamping this sentiment at the time I really did have to laugh out loud! Thanks for taking a peek.

A Flip Card...
Hello from Tassie on this very chilly Saturday afternoon! I have braved the cold out in my craft room this afternoon as I really wanted to challenge my self to make a flip card. Yesterday, my stamping mate Robyn sent me the link to this "Flip-Card Tutorial using partial die-cutting" by Hussena over at Crafters Corner and I must say I was very impressed. So today out came my Cuttlebug and some new dies that I received in the mail this week (happy dance time) and I had a play...thanks for taking a peek....I hope you like my finished card...

Alphabet Tags for May...
Having missed the deadline for the alphabet tag challenge back in April I have been very conscious of time running out to complete my tags for May...and finally here they are....the letter "I" which I really had to think about. Taking inspiration from the words ink, indigo and ivy...this is what I came up with. Using a favourite stamp from my stash which contains the words Imagine and Inspire, I used Imperial Blue ink...as I didn't have indigo....and then I came across this pen stamp in my stash which I thought I would use for the idea of ink. Finally I embossed the tag with a vine embossing folder...this is my ivy...as you can see I really had to use my imagination!
and now for my J tag....Journey....which I really enjoyed making as I had a few stamps with the word journey on them as well as globes and I also used a train stamp from my stash which I haven't used in quite some time. I love playing with different inks when I am making tags and this tag was no exception....thanks for taking a peek.
It's A Girl!
Hi fellow bloggers. After many false starts I actually did complete a card on the weekend! For this card I have played along with the current sketch 188 at Freshly Made Sketches and made a baby card for a former work colleague of my husband who has recently had a baby girl....Welcome to the world Scarlet! It has been so long since I have made a baby card but I really did enjoy the process and am quite pleased with the end result and so is hubby...thank goodness. Thanks for taking a peek...I'm off now to work on some tags which I need to complete today.

Good times....
Finally...I have returned to my craft desk and actually completed a card today. I must mention that I really had to make sure I completed this card today as it is for my youngest brother who is turning 50 this week and I really do need to get it in the post...nothing like a little pressure is there! To make this card I have used the latest sketch #300 from the Tuesday Morning Sketches team. I knew I was always going to use clocks (the plane is a little extra) and as I am not a button and bows girl I took the opportunity to add a chain to my button and attempt to make it look like it is connected to the watch on this card. Thanks for taking a peek...and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

A, B, C......."F"
I'm back today to post my F tag for March.....yes a few days late I know....I really struggled with a theme for F. I know I could have just gone with flowers but I generally struggle with using flowers at any time...no idea why. So, rummaging through my stamp stash I found my two 'face' stamps and have decided to use the smaller one on my tag which I masked and then stamped this oriental fan stamp which I haven't used in a very long time. I also stamped the fans again onto clear acetate and cut out one of the fans and attached with a split pin to cover half of the stamped face image. A little different I guess but I do think I like the finished tag. Thanks for taking a peek. I hope you are having a glorious Good Friday, we certainly are here...lovely weather indeed.

E for Engagement
Hi fellow crafters. It has been many days since I have been at my craft desk, but today I had to put an insert in to a birthday card I needed for tomorrow and so while I was there.....I started thinking of what theme I could use on my E tag for our alphabet tag/card challenge. I was initially leaning towards Easter as I have a few Easter stamps and embellishments...but no...spying this Happy Engagement stamp in my stash I decided to play with it and thus...my tag was born! Thanks for taking a peek. I am off now to prepare for my working week....the first in over 12 months....eek! I hope you have a good week whatever you may be doing.

Thank you....
Well, it is a cold wet day here today so what better way to spend it than tucked away in my craft room. After playing with two cards I have only managed to make the one...will have to go back to the other one tomorrow. For this card I have played along with the team at CAS(E) this sketch! and the sketch for this week CTS#112. I really like this DP I had in my stash so after choosing to use it my card evolved from there! Thanks for taking a peek.

More Tags.....
Yeah! Another creative Saturday afternoon....today I had intended to make some cards and play along at a couple of blog challenges....I got a little side tracked! It is has been in the back of mind that I needed to get started on my C and D tags for our challenge organised by our crafty friend Robyn. Well, I am happy to say these tags are no longer on my mind but sitting on my desk beside me! My C theme is Clocks...I did struggle a little with this tag but I am happy with the way it turned out....
I thought I would keep the momentum going and play with my D theme tag, and this one came together nice and easy...D for dance and dress...
Thanks so much for taking a peek. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.Sunday, 15 February 2015
Wishing you...
Well I have managed to sneak in a little more time at my craft desk again today so have made another male card to add to my stash. This time I have played along again with the Tuesday Morning Sketches team and their latest sketch #287. I had to improvise with the shape as the circle dies I have just weren't big enough and I actually never intended to colour the image on this card but it just wasn't doing it for me so I sponged it with some bisque ink and some distressed ink as well and now I'm okay with it. Thanks for taking a peek and I hope the week ahead treats you kindly.
